Account information: name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
Property information: property addresses, coordinates, property type, hosting details, and compliance status that you provide.
Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, and email engagement metrics (opens, clicks).

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide regulatory monitoring alerts relevant to your properties.
To send email notifications based on your preferences.
To process subscription payments.
To improve our service and fix issues.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Service providers: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), and cloud infrastructure providers — all under data processing agreements.
Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure infrastructure. All API keys and secrets are stored as environment variables, never in source code.

5. Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of your account and data.
Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days.
